The Ferrari SF15-T was unveiled on January 30, 2015, and was an evolution of the F14 T powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6. The name combines SF for Scuderia Ferrari, the year, and T for turbo, and Sebastian Vettel christened his car "Eva." Team principal Maurizio Arrivabene had targeted 2 wins; the season ended with 3 wins and 16 podium finishes. In Singapore, Vettel scored the first pole position for Ferrari and the team's first in three years, breaking Mercedes' qualifying dominance.

Technical details

The chassis was designed by James Allison, Simone Resta, and Dirk de Beer, with Mattia Binotto leading powertrain development. Due to the new nose regulations, the SF15-T differed visually from the F14 T. The front wing features endplates with eight individual elements. The lower wishbone attaches very low on the chassis, with the two arms running so closely together that they overlap to form a unified aerodynamic profile. The upper wishbone is attached at the highest point of the chassis.

The 2015 season

Vettel took victory thanks to an early safety car, while in Bahrain Räikkönen finished second. In Hungary, Vettel overtook both Mercedes cars at the start and led most of the race. In Singapore, he took Ferrari's first pole since the 2012 German Grand Prix, led wire-to-wire to celebrate his third victory of the season, with Räikkönen finishing third. Haas served as a sponsor for the final time this year.
