The Daytona SP3 belongs to the "Icona" series, following the Monza SP models. It commemorates the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, where Ferrari swept the top three places; the 330 P4 serves as its inspiration. The wraparound windshield and removable targa roof evoke that era, complemented by butterfly doors. Mounted behind the seats is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 from the 812 Superfast. A production run of 599 units was planned; the car was unveiled in November 2021 and sold out that same month.

Design
The low, wraparound windshield references the P3/4, while the double-crested front fenders echo prototypes such as the 512 S, 712 Can-Am, and 312 P. The side mirrors are positioned on top of the front fenders, just like on the P3 and P4. The horizontal blades across the rear date back to Pininfarina's 1968 250 P5 and also function as a bumper. Semi-concealed headlights feature movable flaps that retract when switched on.
Engineering
The chassis is made entirely of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, like in Formula 1, and the body is composite as well. The V12 revs to 9500 rpm and pairs with a faster-shifting version of the transmission from the 812 Competizione, an E-Diff, and Side Slip Control 6.1 with Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer. Air is extracted from beneath the floor, steering is electro-hydraulic, and 56 percent of the weight rests on the rear axle.
Classification
The Daytona SP3 was unveiled on November 20, 2021, for the 2023 model year. It is the first road-going Ferrari since the 2002 Enzo to feature a mid-mounted twelve-cylinder engine without hybrid assistance. At the same time, it is considered the final mid-engine V12 in a Ferrari road car, as the company pivots away from traditional twelve-cylinders toward lower-cylinder configurations like hybrid turbocharged V8s, as seen in the SF90 Stradale. The price was 2.25 million dollars per car.
