⚖ Compare

The Ferrari 625 F1 was created for the 1954 Formula 1 season, when Formula 1 engine regulations returned. For this purpose, Ferrari 500 chassis were adapted and equipped with the 2.5-liter 625 four-cylinder producing 210 to 230 PS. It won two more races, one in 1954 and one in 1955, but was not quite fast enough against the Mercedes-Benz W 196 and the Maserati 250F. In May 1955, Maurice Trintignant won the Monaco Grand Prix, Ferrari's first victory there. The 625 was only replaced in 1956 by the D50 chassis acquired from Lancia.
